The Aqua Ice 2025 aquaculture conference and trade show will take place in Harpa on 30 September and 1 October. Hampidjan, together with its subsidiaries Mørenot and Vonin, will participate and present the latest aquaculture equipment solutions that have been developed intensively since Hampidjan acquired Mørenot in the spring of 2023.
Among the main Mørenot innovations to be introduced at the exhibition are:
- MarWall – a semi-closed aquaculture cage with permeable side walls extending 18 metres down. A pumping system draws seawater from a depth of 25 metres, oxygenates it, and pumps it to the surface to improve salmon welfare and protect salmon from sea-lice infestation.
- MarDeep – a submersible cage that can be operated 20–25 metres below the sea surface, where temperature and currents are more stable and where neither sea lice nor harmful algae are present. A special cap, equipped with cameras, sensors, and a feed dispenser, ensures feeding and provides salmon with controlled access to the surface.
- BioSeize – a system that collects waste and uneaten feed that fall through the cage. It consists of the conical ConeCollect net and a vacuum-driven pumping funnel, Fish/It, which conveys the material for sorting and reuse, including for fertiliser production.
Hampidjan, Mørenot, and Vonin welcome visitors to Aqua Ice at their stand in Harpa to learn more about these solutions and discuss the future of aquaculture with company representatives.
